The much-awaited Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine has finally made its world premiere in New York City. Held at the David H Koch Theatre, the event witnessed the film’s lead ‘star couple’ Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, along with others like Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Matthew Macfadyen. Director Shawn Levy also joined the star-studded ensemble on the red carpet in style on Monday night. Ahead of its theatrical release, the film has already created quite a buzz. The trailers, teasers, and, of course, the soundtrack from K-pop sensation Stray Kids have added more to the excitement.
At the NYC premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine, Reynolds opened up about his admiration for the boy band. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet, he said, “Korea is like a hub of culture, cinema, music, and everything else. I met with them years ago, and I love them.”

It is pertinent to note that Reynolds’ connection with the boy band is said to have transcended over the years. He originally wanted them to have a cameo in his film, but the “timing did not work out,” revealed the actor during a global press conference. “The initial plan was to have them appear in the film, but it was just the strike happening in the middle and some other issues, making it logistically impossible. And I just will never forget the look on our line producer’s face when I said that there are eight of them,” he said.

Speaking more of the film’s premiere, the entire team graced the red carpet, dressed to the nine, in celebration of the release. Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid also dressed in themes of red and yellow, channelling their inner Deadpool and Wolverine as they joined Reynolds and Jackman for photos.

Making their anticipated comebacks, Stray Kids released a brand new music video, Chk Chk Boom, for the upcoming MCU film. However, what caught everyone by surprise were the appearances of Wolverine and Deadpool in the song, bringing their usual humour and flair to it. Besides, Stray Kids is also set to release an original soundtrack titled Slash on July 24.
