Saif Ali Khan Reveals Taimur’s Stage Fear, Describes Acting as a ‘Nightmare’: ‘Standing in Front Of 50,000 People...’
In the third season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Saif Ali Khan shares insights into his son Taimur's perspective on acting, revealing the young boy's stage fright.

The recent season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives offered a glimpse into various aspects of the lives of Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Seema Sajdeh, and Neelam Kothari. All four have connections to the film industry, with their children also exploring careers in acting. In one episode, they discuss their children’s aspirations with Saif Ali Khan. The Omkara star shares what his son Taimur thinks about pursuing acting.

In the final episode of the third season of the Netflix series, Saif engages in a roundtable discussion with the seven women, including new additions from Delhi: Shalini Passi, Kalyani Chawla, and Riddhima Kapoor. During the conversation, Saif notes, “With all our children, there’s a lot of interest in doing movies. It seems to be the only interest. None of them want to be character actors. They all want to be the number one movie star in India. That’s high pressure.”

Seema Sajdeh, formerly married to actor Sohail Khan, responds, “Everybody wants to be number one. And everyone cannot be number one.”

Recognizing Ananya’s achievements in the film industry, Saif mentions to Bhavana Panday, “You already, touch wood, have a wonderful, successful…” Bhavana interjects, adding, “But Sara and Ananya are very good friends.” Saif responds, “And contemporaries.”

Continuing the discussion, Saif reveals, “But my son, Taimur, he is seven, he said, ‘The idea of standing up in front of 50,000 people and saying something is just a nightmare.’” Seema asks, “Oh did he say that?” Saif confirms, “Yeah, he said, ‘I don’t. I absolutely don’t want to do it.’”

In a separate interview with the camera, Maheep comments, “He (Taimur) is a gorgeous child. He’s got a very strong personality. He’s very reactive to the paps. So, people are obsessed with him.”

Earlier, in a conversation with India Today, Saif Ali Khan shared, “Two of the elder kids are already actors, or want to be… Tim, at one point, said that he can’t bear the thought of getting up in front of people and saying lines, I would be petrified! I said that I completely understand. But now he tells me he’s looking forward to his school play. The youngest one is a born performer, if you ever see him, and I know where that comes from. So, there’s no pressure. It’s a great job. But, for me, they could be school teachers… As long as you’re happy.”

As the grandson of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and the late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Taimur comes from a family deeply rooted in both Bollywood and Indian royalty. His name, Taimur, means “iron” in Persian, symbolizing strength.

From a young age, Taimur has been a media sensation, often photographed by the paparazzi whenever he steps out. His endearing looks and playful nature have made him a favorite among fans and media alike. Despite the constant media attention, his parents have been vocal about wanting to provide him with a normal childhood, emphasizing education and personal growth over a potential career in show business.
