An incident has captured the attention of many as a viral screenshot reveals the heartfelt wish of late Squadron Leader Abhimanyu Rai’s father to meet Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Rai, a national hero, sacrificed his life to protect a village from a crashing aircraft, was named after SRK’s iconic Fauji character. Abhimanyu’s parents, who had a wish to establish a foundation in their son’s memory, had expressed their desire to meet King Khan. Rai’s mother also hoped to share the inspiring story of naming her son after SRK’s character and discuss plans for the foundation. Interestingly, fans were quick to spread the message on social media and the Bollywood superstar decided to fulfil their dream amid his busy schedule and spent some quality time with them. The superstar’s sweet gesture has been garnering praise from his devoted fans once again.
Rai’s mother, Chitralekha Rai, took the initiative to connect with SRK with the help of Team Saath on X. The organisation wrote, “Dear Shah Rukh Khan, Mother of a martyr, Squadron Leader Abhimanyu Rai, wants to talk to you about her son and how she ended up keeping her son’s name on the character you played in the serial Fauji. Give her this little happiness please.” Surpassingly, the page shared a sweet update as they confirmed that SRK indeed met the parents. Expressing gratitude, they wrote, “Thank you SRK for giving your time to Group Captain Amitabh Rai and Mrs. Chitralekha Rai, proud parents of Squadron Leader Abhimanyu Rai, who sacrificed his life in service of the nation. That is why you are THE KING. Your gesture has filled their lives with hope and an ambition to bring his life story in front of the World. Love you SRK.”
