Ever since the beginning of its third season, Shark Tank India has been ruling headlines. In the recent episode, we saw two young co-founders pitching their beverage and premix powder brand for children. Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta and Namita Thapar looked interested in the product and therefore asked for more details from the young pitchers.
The two co-founders revealed that they started their business in the first year of their college. They argued that their brand aims to provide flavours with premium. The pitchers then asked for Rs 35 lakh from the sharks in return for 4 per cent equity in their company.
Anupam Mittal offered Rs 35 lakh to pitchers but asked for 7 per cent equity in return. Namita and Ritesh came together and matched Anupam’s offer. Aman then joined hands with Anupam. Following this, pitchers urged all four sharks to come together. However, Anupam refused an all-shark deal and gave an ultimatum to the young entrepreneurs. “Either choose me and Aman or I am out,” he said as quoted by E-Times.
Pitchers then asked sharks to lower the equity share to 6 per cent. While all the sharks agreed, they chose Anupam and Aman.
