The legendary actor Shashi Kapoor breathed his last on Monday evening and left the entire film fraternity in deep shock. The likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan paid their last respects to the thespian and attended his last rites. Many others took to social media to bid adieu to the veteran actor-producer and shared how big a loss it is for the film industry.
Three days after Shashi left for the heavenly abode, his family arranged a prayer meeting at the iconic Prithvi Theatre. In attendance were Rakesh Roshan, Jeetendra Kapoor, Soni Razdan, Nandita Das and Gulzar among others.
Shashi's daughter Sanjana Kapoor was spotted greeting family and friends including Alia Bhatt's mother Soni Razdan.
Family members Karisma Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor were spotted arriving at the theatre.
Rakesh Roshan, Jeetendra Kapoor and Chunky Pandey also paid last respects to the thespian.
Veteran lyricist and writer Gulzar also extended his support to the family.
Filmmaker Nandita Das, who is currently gearing up for Manto, was also spotted.
