Vikrant Massey made a shocking revelation about his college friends. The actor, in a recent interview, opened up about his financial conditions before he became an actor and revealed that his friends distanced from him after they visited his home. Vikrant began his acting career in his early 20s, bagging a role in 2007’s Dhoom Machaao Dhoom before becoming a household name with Dharam Veer (2008), Balika Vadhu (2009-2010) and Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo (2010). His acting jobs helped improved his financial situations.
In an interview with Unfiltered by Samdish, Vikrant revealed that he had once invited his closest friends home for lunch. When they arrived, they judged him based on his house’s condition. The actor had plastic chairs and the house needed maintenance. As soon as his friends saw the house, Vikrant revealed their behaviour towards him changed.
“Meri maa bahut achha khana banati thi. Toh maine unko bulaya and I said ‘daawat pe aajao’. Jab woh ghar aaye aur unhone ghar ki disha dekhi, unhone dekha ki plastic ki khursiyaan hai ghar pe, paint chip ho raha hai, silan lagii hui hai ceiling pe, kitchen unke hisaab se aesthetically clean nahi tha, toh agle din se unka bartaav meri taraf badal gaya (My mom was an amazing cook. So I thought I would invite my friends for a nice meal. When they came home and looked at my house, they saw that we had plastic chairs, the paint was chipping off, and that our ceiling looked damp, the kitchen was not aesthetically clean, that’s when their behaviour towards me changed),” he said.
He added that he found out about their opinions through common friends and learnt that they had disrespected him and made comments about his house. Watch the video below:
