Sidharth Shukla Passes Away at 40: Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Rashami Desai Mourn Loss

Popular television and film actor Sidharth Shukla, best known for his role in the long-running TV show Balika Vadhu, died on Thursday, an official at the Cooper Hospital said. He was 40. Shukla suffered a massive heart attack in the morning it is learnt.

Soon after the tragic incident, his friends and industry colleagues took to social media to mourn his untimely demise. Both Bollywood and television actors penned emotional notes and remembered the actor. Rashami Desai, who was his co-contestant in Bigg Boss 13, left a broken heart emoji on her official Twitter handle.

Asmi Riaz, Sidharth’s friend and Bigg Boss 13 housemate wrote, “I m gonna meet you in heaven brother,” while sharing some pictures of them.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan took to his Twitter handle to express grief. He wrote, “Gone too soon Siddharth.. u shall be missed. Condolences to the family .. RIP????.”

Sara Ali Khan took to her Instagram stories section and shared a collage of some images of Sidharth. She remembered the ‘dashing personality’ that she met.

Actor Sunil Grover wrote, “Shocked and sad to know about Sidharth Shukla. Gone too soon. Prayers. Rest in peace.”

Manoj Baypayee, too, was shocked at the news. “OMG!!! This is So Shocking!!! Words will fail to describe the shock and sense of loss of his near and dear ones !!! May he res in peace !!! Folded handsFolded hands No yaar !!!!,” he wrote.

Varun Sood paid his condolences. Sharing a picture of Sidharth, he wrote, “Still can’t believe it! RIP

@sidharth_shukla. Gone too soon.”

Karan Kundra took to Instagram to write, “Shocking.. just last night we were talking about how well you’re doing.. can’t believe! Gone to soon buddy gone too soon RIP will remember you always smiling.. extremely sad.”

Gangs of Wasseypur fame Vineet Kumar Singh wrote, “Shocking!! Gone too soon. May your soul rest in peace Folded hands #SidharthShukla.”

Varun Dhawan, whose film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania was Sidharth’s Bollywood debut, took to Instagram to share a photo with the late actor and his co-star in the film Alia Bhatt. He wrote, “Rip brother ????u are loved by so many and u touched so many with ur kind heart and beautiful personality. Today heaven has gained a star and we have lost one. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.”

Ajay Devgn, too, expressed his shock. “Life & death are both baffling. But when someone as young as #SidharthShukla passes away with suddenness, one is very sad… Condolences to his family.

RIP Sidharth ????????,” he wrote.

Several other Bollywood actors like Sonu Sood, Kiara Advani, Madhuri Dixit, Richa Chadha, Nimrat Kaur, Chitrangada Singh and others took to social media to remember the actor.

Singer Shaan wrote, “So heartbroken .. can’t imagine some people can just ‘stop living’ .. @sidharth_shukla was one such person .. Always Alive.. May God give his mummy, sisters and family Strength to carry on.”

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan tweeted, “Truly heartbreaking ????.”

Actor and Bigg Boss 14 contestant Eijaz Khan wrote, “Tere se bohot seekha.”

Actor and Bigg Boss 14 contestant Aly Goni shared Sidharth’s sketch on Instagram with broken heart emojis.

Actress and Bigg Boss fame Gauahar Khan took to Instagram and penned a long heartfelt note. Sharing pictures with Sidharth from the Bigg Boss 14 house, where the two were seen as toofani seniors, the actress wrote, “From me watching you as an audience, to me discovering you as a friend.”

He is survived by his mother and two sisters. “He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago,” the senior Cooper Hospital official told PTI.
