Thangalaan FIRST Review: Chiyaan Vikram delivers a memorable performance. Fans praise Pa Ranjith.

Thangalaan First Review Out: Chiyaan Vikram’s Thangalaan has finally released and social media has been raving about the Tamil actor’s performance. The period action film shows Chiyaan in a never-before-seen avatar which has impressed the audience. Trade expert Sreedhar Pillai took to X and shared his review of the film. He gave the film a 3.25 rating and praised Vikram for his performance. However, he added the film is a tad slow.

“#ThangalaanReview : Epic. Well researched story line of the oppressed class by @beemji set 200 years back with British fighting superstition and local systems discover gold in Kolar. It is told through a downtrodden man Thangalaan who single handedly against all odds helped in discovery of the yellow metal! And @chiyaan in title role is truly magnificent and carries the show, you can feel the wetness of his tears and joy he finds with his family and sadness in breakdown scene. @parvatweets & @MalavikaM_ perfectly fit the bill,” he wrote.

“Without @gvprakash’s music the film would not have been complete, especially the bgm in the climax. The making is top class. However it is a bit slow and the dialogue is not clear in some places. The storyline has traces of classic Hollywood western Mackenna’s Gold. On the whole it is a master class in acting from Vikram, the hard-work shows on the screen. Watch it for him!” Sreedhar added.

A fan also shared a similar review. “First half – Absolutely gripping! The genre twist was completely unexpected. Stunning visuals Chiyaan’s acting is next level Blockbuster loading,” a fan wrote.
