'The Audience Will Like It': Music Director Koti At Hello Baby Song Launch
Directed by Ramgopal Ratnam, this film will be the first Hawking solo film in Indian cinema.

Salur Koteshwara Rao, known professionally as Koti, is an Indian composer and singer who works primarily in Telugu films. He has composed music for more than 475 films. The son of veteran composer S Rajeswara Rao, he teamed up with Raj, son of TV Raju, in the early 1980s and the resulting duo became known as Raj-Koti. The duo composed music for about 180 films from their debut in 1983 until their separation in 1994.

Hello Baby is a new film produced by SKML Motion Pictures. Directed by Ramgopal Ratnam, this film will be the first Hawking solo film in Indian cinema. The shooting of this film has been going on for a few days and now it is being geared up for release. Recently a song from this film was released by famous music director Koti. The title song Hello Baby has been written and sung by Sadiq Imran. Speaking on the occasion, music director Koti said “A film like this is sure to be loved by the audience. I was surprised when I heard the story. All the best to producer Kanderegula Adinarayana and the team for their hard work”.

After the separation, Koti has composed music and background score for more than 350 films. He won the Nandi Award for Best Music Director for the film Hello Brother (1994). He started his musical career as an assistant to music director K. Chakravarthy. Composers like AR Rahman, Mani Sharma, Harris Jayaraj and S Thaman worked with Koti as a keyboardist in the early stages of their careers. Roshan Saluri, Koti’s son, is also featured as a film music composer. Another son, Rajeev Saluri, started his career as an actor.

Last year, music director Raj of the renowned duo Raj-Koti passed away at his residence at Kukatpally in Hyderabad at 68. Raj contributed to the music of various Telugu films, and the pair became known as Raj-Koti. The combo produced several chartbuster songs before their separation.

After hearing this news, music director Koti was shocked and later became emotional as he began shedding tears. “I am unable to digest the news of my Raj’s death,” Koti said. The duo met at a recent function, where the late music director didn’t tell him about his health problems. “It was very sad to learn about his death this morning,” Koti added.
