Going by the rumours in the media, the actor could reunite with his Taxiwaala director Rahul Sankrityan for a period project. Here are all the details we know of. According to the reports, the untitled project is currently in its pre-production phase and is expected to go on floors by the first half of next year. It is being said that Vijay could appear in dual roles in the film, portraying the role of a father and his son. The backdrop of the release is set in the British period and the story will be told through scenes of flashback. The character of the father could be shown as someone who holds a lot of power. A confirmation on the reports is yet to be made by the makers.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul Sankrityan have previously worked in Taxiwaala, which was released in 2018. The film also starred Priyanka Jawalkar and Malavika Nair as the leads. They were supported by Madhunandan, Ravi Varma, Shiju and others. It is produced by Sreenivasa Kumar Naidu, Bunny Vasu, V Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner of GA2 Pictures and UV Creations. Jakes Bejoy handled the music, while the cinematography was done by Sujith Sarang and the editor is Sreejith Sarang. Dubbed as a supernatural comedy thriller, the film collected over Rs 42 crore at the box-office.
