Vikrant Massey is currently basking in the success of his last film, 12th Fail. The Vidhu Vinod Chopra directorial venture was released last year and received immense appreciation not only from the audience but also from the film industry. Having worked in the entertainment world for a long time now, Vikrant Massey recently opened up about “shitty” people in the industry.
In an interview with Unfiltered with Samdish, the host asked Vikrant, “Can you be a shitty person in life and be a great actor?” Vikrant replied, “There are many people… They are adored, they are loved, they are so-called aspirational. But you have to give it to them for being successful.”
Vikrant also mentioned that there is a lot of pretence in the industry. When asked if he meant technicians, Vikrant said, “No, creative artists.” The actor also spoke about cosmetic surgery and said that he was open to it if it was required. He said, “A lot of people have done it… There is no problem with it. I am open to it as well if need be.”
In the same interview, opened up about his financial conditions before he became an actor and revealed that his friends distanced from him after they visited his home. He added that he found out about their opinions through common friends and learnt that they had disrespected him and made comments about his house.
Vikrant began his acting career in his early 20s, bagging a role in 2007’s Dhoom Machaao Dhoom before becoming a household name with Dharam Veer (2008), Balika Vadhu (2009-2010) and Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo (2010). His acting jobs helped improve his financial situation.
Meanwhile, on the personal front, Vikrant Massey recently embraced fatherhood for the first time. Vikrant Massey and his wife Sheetal Thakur recently welcomed their first child together.
