Director Shoojit Sircar gave Raashii Khanna the opportunity to enter Bollywood with the film Madras Cafe.

In Bollywood, there are many actresses whose fate has played a vital role in turning their careers in the entertainment industry, and one such actress is Raashii Khanna. The actress made an unplanned entry into the glamorous world and has now become a popular name in showbiz.

The diva was born on November 30, 1990, in Delhi. The 32-year-old actress completed her graduation in English from Delhi University. Raashii was good at academics from a young age. So, she initially aspired to become an IAS officer. But her fate planned something else for her, and she took an unexpected turn towards the world of films.

According to reports, during her college days, that actress got a job opportunity and engaged in copywriting for an advertising agency. But after some time, she started getting a lot of modelling opportunities, and she transitioned into a successful modelling career.

Later, director Shoojit Sircar offered her an opportunity to enter Bollywood with the political action thriller film Madras Cafe. In the movie, she played the role of Ruby Singh, John Abraham’s wife. Despite having little screen time, Raashii garnered limelight and was praised for her performance.

Raashii Khanna then ventured into South cinema with her debut in the romantic comedy film Oohalu Gusagusalade. The film was written and directed by Srinivas Avasarala in his directorial debut. It was produced jointly by Sai Korrapati and Rajani Korrapati under the banner of Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram.

She has since become a highly popular actress in the South, featuring in numerous successful films including Bengal Tiger, Jai Lava Kusa, Touch Chesi Chudu, World Famous Lover, and Pakka Commercial, to name a few.

Meanwhile, Raashii is currently busy shooting for her upcoming project, Yodha, co-starring Siddharth Malhotra and Disha Patani, which is scheduled for release on March 15. This Hindi action thriller film is written and directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. It is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions.
