Why Fantasy Thriller Gyaarah Gyaarah Is A Must Watch OTT Series
The fantasy thriller series released on August 9 and is gaining popularity among viewers.

Most films and series are released on the OTT platforms these days. The films released in theatres are also making their way on OTT after a few days. The streaming platform has now become a major source of entertainment for people and attracts millions of users for free and paid content. Recently, one series titled Gyaarah Gyaarah released on an OTT platform. Directed by Umesh Bist, it is currently streaming on ZEE5. The fantasy thriller series released on August 9 and is gaining popularity among viewers. It stars Kritika Kamra, Raghav Juyal, Dhairya Karwa, and Aakash Dixit in important roles. Set in the misty, mystical landscapes of Uttarakhand, the plot of the series follows police officers who solve multiple murder cases. The series is an adaptation of the Korean drama Signal.

The series, set across three decades — 1990, 2001, and 2016, distinguishes itself with its authentic storytelling and richly developed characters. In the series, two officers, Yug Arya (played by Raghav Juyal) and Shaurya Anthwal (played by Dhairya Karwa) find themselves at a bizarre crossroads of past and present. Officer Anthwal, living in the 90s talks to Yug, a police officer living in 2016, on a walkie-talkie at exactly 11 o’clock.

The thrill and suspense level doubles with every episode of the series. The series has the capacity to engage the audience till the last second. Gyaarah Gyaarah has received a lot of praise from viewers and has a rating of 8.3 on IMDb.

Earlier, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Umesh Bist admitted, “Of course, we planned it that way! Every episode needed a hook, and the final episode? Well, it had to be a whopper! The audience’s love has been overwhelming, so yes, more seasons are definitely on the horizon. We’ve only just begun to peel back the layers of this story, and trust me, one season barely scratches the surface.”

“Mystery and mysticism have always fascinated me, and this project was a playground for those themes. It’s not just about telling a story; it’s about making quantum physics, Advaita Vedanta, and the mysteries of time relatable to everyone. Like that scene with the clockmaker — breaking down complex ideas into something simple was a challenge I embraced. Working with such a talented cast and crew was a joy, and I’m already itching to dive into the next season with them,” he further added.
