BTS’s Jungkook, the renowned K-pop idol, recently launched his debut solo album, GOLDEN. To commemorate this milestone, he engaged in an exclusive conversation with Zane Lowe, a New Zealand radio personality associated with Apple Music. Their discussion delved into various aspects of Jungkook’s life, from his upbringing in Busan to his phenomenal success with BTS, his aspirations for his solo career, and more.
The interview reportedly took place on the 19th floor of the HYBE building in Seoul. Jungkook and Lowe sat on the edge of a giant glass-panelled window. During their conversation, interviewer Zane Lowe observed and pointed out the harmonious coexistence of traditional architectural elements with modern structures, all nestled among the backdrop of majestic buildings. Jungkook shared his appreciation for such architecture, revealing that he often finds himself admiring architectural marvels during his travels.
Lowe, noticing Jungkook’s discerning eye for design, inquired further. Jungkook concurred with this assessment, acknowledging his interest in the field. He mentioned that if he had pursued a different path, he could see himself “possibly going into design or drawing."

Additionally, he expressed an inclination towards sports.
The youngest member of BTS explained that he has harboured a passion for drawing since his early years and intends to explore it further through formal study. He confessed to having a “soft spot for creative work" and, despite his current status as one of the world’s most prominent musicians, remains open to exploring various creative avenues in the future.
During the interview, Jungkook was also asked to identify the album that sparked his love for music. In response, he disclosed that music was not his natural inclination during childhood. He pinpointed a pivotal moment during the creation of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life when he realised that music was his true calling. “When we created that, I felt impressed," he recollected.
It’s important to note that The Most Beautiful Moment in Life marked a significant phase in BTS’s early career, contributing to their remarkable growth in the US market. However, Jungkook further explains that his attraction to the album was not solely driven by its commercial success. Rather, it served as a source of inspiration, motivating him to evolve as an artist and explore diverse musical genres.
