In a new interview, the veteran star opened up about turning 75 and revealed her husband, actor Dharmendra gave her the best gift he could which made her day extra special. Dharmendra and Hema have been married for over four decades now. They have two daughters together, Esha and Ahana. Speaking with Hindustan Times, Hema revealed that Dharmendra gave her his time on her birthday. The actor specially flew down to India from the US just in time to ring in Hema’s birthday. “He is here for my birthday, and the biggest gift he gives me is spending time with us,” she said.
Looking back at her life, Hema confessed, “I have been so busy working all these years that I didn’t even realise where the time went by. I am 75 today, I can’t believe it myself! But age is just a number. It depends on how you look after yourself, if tohers are inspired by the work you do. That’s life. I do the work that I get, spend time with my children and grandchildren. Life is beautiful.”
