Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor Makes It Clear, Says His 'Fake Sneakers' Note Wasn't To Promote Anand Ahuja's Store
Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor says his 'Fake Sneakers' comment wasn't to promote brother-in-law Anand Ahuja's store.

Anil Kapoor’s son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor faced major backlash for his elitist comments about buying fake sneakers. The actor has now clarified the same saying that he didn’t make the comments to promote his sister Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s sneaker store. Anand Ahuja is a founder of multibrand premium sneakers store.

Harsh had recently shared on his X handle, “I know every time I say something there will be people on social media who don’t know anything about footwear etc going crazy but a lot of my followers are ???? enthusiasts or are looking to collect and that’s the audience I’m speaking to.”

A user then retweeted the same and wrote, “Bruh we are still not buying your brother-in-law’s shoes.” Reacting to the same, Harsh wrote, “I couldn’t care less about that tbh (to be honest).”

The actor who was last seen in Thar, shared a story on his Instagram handle that read, “Don’t know who needs to hear this, but please stop wearing fake sneakers… if you have a low/moderate budget there’s plenty of great options out there. Converse vans basic air force etc… if someone gets you a gift and they happen to be inauthentic you can pass them onto someone else that doesn’t know what they are and would be happy to wear… but if you are buying you’re own please do your own diligence… buy from trusted sellers…”.

The posts reached Reddit and users trolled him brutally. “This is so embarrassingly. I couldn’t even finish reading the second slide,” a Reddit user wrote. “And what you say says nothing about you. But sneakers should look on point. TERRIBLE NEPODEMIC THIS IS,” added another. “Tbh I refuse to believe someone is actually thst dumb and would write this (or even think such way) for other millions of people to read. That dumb and ignorant? It’s hard for me to comprehend and I mean it very seriously,” a third user wrote.

“Tell me you grew up with money without telling me,” another comment read. “Looks are the only thing that matters to Mr. Delulu. Typical nepo kid behaviour,” a fifth user wrote. “Bless – he thinks he’s doing a public service announcement,” a comment read.
