Bollywood’s dhak dhak girl Madhuri Dixit is known for her fine acting, gorgeous appearance, and graceful dance moves. The actress made headlines last month for her potential entry into politics. It was reported that the actress is likely to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Reports also suggested that she will be competing from Northwest Mumbai as she has been in contact with major Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders like Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Ashish Shelar. Now, the actress has opened up about her further plans to join politics.
Madhuri Dixit and her husband Dr. Sriram Nene recently spoke to Zee 24 Taas where they shed light on their plans. Refuting the claims around her entry into politics, the Aaja Nachle actress said, “No, not at all, I have no interest in politics. Every time there is an election, these rumours are spread about me. But no, I’m not interested.” While the actress put an end to these rumours, her husband Dr Nene expressed his opinion about politics and said, “We support everyone, we are impartial. But if someone does good work, he should be supported.”
It needs to be noted that speculation about her possible entry into the political arena emerged after Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Mumbai for Ganesh Utsav this year which fueled the prospect of Dixit contesting from Mumbai for the BJP gained attention. The actress had clarified her instance on the swirling political rumours, asserting, “I’m aware of the discussions regarding my potential entry into politics. However, these are merely rumours. I have no intention of contesting elections under any political party. Please refrain from spreading baseless speculations.”
On the work front, Madhuri Dixit is currently busy promoting her first production venture. She is making her foray into production with a Marathi film titled ‘Panchak’. Produced under the banner of RNM Moving Pictures, the film is slated to release on January 5 next year.
