Mumbai News: Bhoiwada Police is conducting further investigation into the accident

At least three persons lost their lives after a motorcycle collided with a dumper vehicle on Mumbai’s Parel Bridge on Tuesday. All three, aged between 22 and 25 years, were college friends.

Two of the deceased have been identified as Tanish Patange and Renuka Tamrakar.

A police team was present at the scene of the incident. Bhoiwada Police suspect that the sleepiness of the two-wheeler rider could have been the reason behind the incident. Further investigation into the matter is underway, an officer said.

Just yesterday, four members of a family were killed after the autorickshaw they were travelling in, collided with a car in Telangana’s Mahabubabad district.

The accident occurred as the autorickshaw and a car coming in the opposition direction collided at Kambalapally village in the Mahabubabad Mandal late on Sunday.

While two persons died on the spot, the rest two succumbed to their injuries at the Government Area Hospital in the region.

Last week two Delhi police officer were killed after their car collided with a truck near the Kundali border in Haryana’s Sonipat district, officials said. The two were returning to their Sonipat homes in a personal car, police said, adding that their bodies had been sent for post-mortem.

Initial probe suggested that their car collided with a stationery truck, which was not visible to them due to foggy conditions.

A 32-year-old woman and her two-year-old son died after they were hit by a motorcyle near the Madipur Metro Station on January 8.

The rider of the two-wheeler was also injured in the incident, officials noted.

Police had received a PCR call about the accident and a team was immediately sent to the spot.

They found the motorcycle near the accident scene, following which they were informed about three medicolegal cases by the Maharaja Agrasen Hospital.

An FIR was registered against the vehicle and owner under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 304A (causing death by negligence).
