Mumbai Local Turns Dance Show As Video of Woman Performing Lavani Makes Internet Cringe

Mumbai’s local train has evolved beyond its original purpose of commuting and has now become a stage for attention-seeking antics, much to the dismay of onlookers. This was recently exemplified when a video featuring a woman engaging in a Lavani dance on the train went viral, leaving internet users both repulsed and cringing, hoping for an end to such activities within the metro.

In the video circulating on the internet, the woman, clad in a pink Nauvari saree, can be observed executing Lavani dance moves, a traditional form that combines song and dance, typically accompanied by the beats of a Dholki, a percussion instrument. Typically reserved for stage performances or special events, the woman’s casual dance within Mumbai’s local train, seemingly ignored by her fellow passengers, underscored the prevailing disinterest and collective cringe of the commuters.

In response, people reacted strongly to the video, with one individual noting, “Most difficult 30 sec…Loved the attitude of the girl behind.” Another comment read, Ye kya chal raha hai bhai ???? inko reality shows nahi milte kya..this is stupidity at no level.”

A third user chimed in, saying, “Ye current generation ka craze behind creating videos is really stupid” while the fourth one wrote, “Won’t be too long when there’ll be a separate ticket issued, and (possibly) a spcl coach for this piece of c**p!”

Earlier, a video of a woman performing a belly dance inside a moving train also garnered attention. Dressed in royal blue attire, she showcased her skills, twerking and moving to a rhythmic song which received a somewhat similar response from the online community.
