Ranbir Kapoor Reveals Alia Bhatt Writes An Email To Raha Daily; Says 'Emails, Texts Are Superficial'

Bollywood’s power couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt became proud parents to their first child, daughter Raha Kapoor on November 6, 2022. Since welcoming Raha into their lives, Alia and Ranbir’s careers have seen immense growth. From Ranbir’s films becoming highly-anticipated to Alia winning a National Award, the couple are currently on a roll. As they prepare to celebrate Raha’s first birthday soon, Ranbir spoke about Alia’s ritual for Raha in a recent interview.

Speaking to Hauser on their YouTube channel, the Animal actor said that he missed the time when people used to write letters for one another. He said, “I have always been a very big romantic. I remember seeing my parents’ letters to each other or my grandparents’ letters. There was so much personal involvement in them. You could keep them (the letters) for years and years and preserve them.”

He then said that he wished to write letters to his daughter Raha. Ranbir then revealed, “Alia is writing her (Raha) emails every day and I thought I would also write something.” However, in the same interview, Ranbir also said, “Now you send emails and texts to people. But these are very superficial.”

A snippet of this conversation went viral on Reddit and fans expressed their hot take in the comments section. One person wrote, “Alia is such a Dharma girl lol.” Another person wrote, “Lots of parents do this. My folks wrote me a letter every birthday with all the milestones I’d achieved…they gifted it to me when I turned 21.” One Reddit user wrote, “This is so sweet!!! And it’s going to be wonderful when Raha reaches a stage where she can read those emails.”

Referring to Ranbir’s remark on superficiality, one person commented, “Superficial are your feelings, not some medium. I will still read a paragraph a thousand times over and smile each time if it’s sent by my friend/ boyfriend in a loving manner. Romanticizing lack of development/tech is a new trend, you can always write a love letter if it makes you happy.” Another added, “Emails are superficial…. My wife writes my daughter an email a day ”

Meanwhile, Ranbir is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Animal. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial will also feature Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in key roles. The film is scheduled to be released on December 1.
