The trailer of Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s much-awaited movie Animal is finally here. It was launched on Thursday, November 23, at a grand event in New Delhi. The trailer presents how Ranbir’s character’s attachment leads him on the path of becoming a gangster, eventually coming to face with his nemesis, played by Bobby Deol. It also reveals that Anil Kapoor will be playing Ranbir’s father in the movie. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna will be Ranbir’s love interest. Needless to say, the trailer of the film has become the talk of the town and Ranbir Kapoor’s performance has interested Tamil and Telugu film-makers.
As per a source close to the entertainment portal PinkVilla, Ranbir Kapoor has been approached by multiple producers and directors from South with film offers. The source shared, “A filmmaker known for making gangster films in Tamil Nadu approached Ranbir with a project that he is willing to produce in Hindi. While Ranbir has liked the idea, he is willing to work with the filmmaker in the capacity of a director. It’s a two-hero film, with an actor from the South and North. It’s in the scripting stage,”
Sharing details about a Telugu producer who is currently making India’s biggest film, the source informed, “The producer has signed almost all top directors from Telugu Film Industry and has gone to Ranbir with a buffet. He can pick and choose the director from the roaster.” However, the report also stated that Ranbir has yet to give his confirmation for these offers.
Soon after the trailer was shared, the actors and makers addressed the media, where Ranbir Kapoor informed everyone, “This is an adult rated Khushi Kabhie Kabhi Gham.”
At the press meet, Ranbir Kapoor also shared that despite the intensity of his characters, he prefers to go back to his family as himself. Explaining the reason behind it, he stated, “I am a detached person. I never take my character home. It’s not fair for my loved ones. Agar main agar jaake aise act karta toh meri biwi mujhe maarti.”
Meanwhile, Himesh Mankad shared certification details about Animal through a post on X(formerly Twitter), “ANIMAL CERTIFIED A – ADULTS ONLY – BY CBFC – 3 HOURS 21 MINUTES! #RanbirKapoor is back as his first collaboration with #SandeepReddyVanga, #Animal, has been certified A by the censor board with an approved run time of 3 hours and 21 minutes,” it read.
The film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is in the crime drama genre and promises to take viewers on a thrilling ride on 1st December 2023.
