Chuseok, commonly known as Korean Thanksgiving Day, is a major and celebratory holiday in Korea. This year is being observed from September 28 to 30 and citizens are surely in the mood to rejoice. Even the face of the boyband SEVENTEEN, Kim Min-gyu aka Mingyu is enjoying this holiday to its best. From relaxing, and spending some time outdoors to flaunting his new hairstyle, he has indeed taken the internet on a frenzy with his latest festive photo dump.
In his latest post on Instagram, Mingyu wished his fans and followers on the occasion of Korean Thanksgiving Day and shared some candids. In the carousel, the rapper and songwriter could be seen in a dapper athleisure look, which included an oversized hoodie, black trousers, and white shoes. Also, you cannot miss the tinted sunglasses and his short haircut after so long. Mingyu was seen posing on a bridge overlooking a lake and running track.
His fans are definitely amazed by his looks. One of them commented, “you look so good in grey and, ofc with this haircut,” while another said, “You look amazing.” Some of them also spotted the beverage in his hand and said, “I just know that’s a pumpkin creme cold brew.” Some also sent him wishes on the festive occasion: “Have a good time with your beloved ones! Luv you.”
Mingyu recently dominated headlines after he cut his long hair, which has gained tremendous adulation from his followers for a long time. He hasn’t had a relatively short haircut in a long time and was known for displaying a variety of hairstyles and looks on numerous occasions. He is now sporting a new, significantly shorter hairstyle. Mingyu wrote the caption for his post in Korean, which can be roughly translated in English as “I cut my hair.” Reportedly, this transformation also reminds his fans of 2016, when Mingyu had short hair during the band’s initial phase, despite having blond hair at the time.
Meanwhile, the boy band is preparing for the release of their new album, SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN, next month. This new mini album follows their tenth mini album, FML, which reached SEVENTEEN’s highest Billboard 200 chart placement to date, peaking at No. 2 and remaining on the list for a total of nine weeks. The album’s debut single, Super, peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. list and remained there for 17 weeks.
