Google Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8 Launch: Tech giant Google on Wednesday launched the latest Pixel 8 series smartphones — Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro during its ‘Made By Google’ event. Both the devices are powered by Google’s latest Tensor G3 chipset, Bluetooth 5.3, a 10.5MP selfie camera and much more.
Google Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8: Price And Availability
The Google Pixel 8 is priced at Rs 75,999 in India. Customers can get a bank discount of Rs 8,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 3,000 when purchasing this new Pixel device. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 8 Pro comes at a higher price of Rs1,06,999. However, buyers can a bank discount of Rs 9,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 4,000. Both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro is available for pre-order on Flipkart.
Google Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8: Specifications
The Google Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, Pixel 8 Pro has a bigger 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate with to 2,400 nits peak brightness. The Pixel 8 series is powered by Google’s custom-made Tensor G3 chipset with Titan M2 security coprocessor. Both the devices run latest Android 14 out of the box.
The Pixel 8 is available in two storage options– 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB and the Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, comes in three storage configurations — 12GB+128GB storage, 12GBRAM +256GB storage, and 12GB+ 512GB storage. Coming to the battery, Pixel 8 is backed by a 4,5775mAh battery with 27W fast charging, and the Pixel 8 Pro by a 5,050mAh battery with 30W fast charging, respectively.
Both, Google Pixel 8 Pro and Google Pixel 8 are coming with Bluetooth version 5.3, Face ID, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an IP68 rating. Also, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are different in size and weight. The Pixel 8 is smaller, measuring 5.92 x 2.79 x 0.35 inches and weighing 187 grams. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro is bigger, with dimensions of 6.4 x 3.01 x 0.34 inches and a weight of 213 grams. Pixel 8 Pro also comes with Seven years of OS, security and Feature Drop updates.
Coming to cameras, Pixel 8 has dual camera set up on the rear side, which includes 50MP wide camera and 12MP ultrawide camera. Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, comes with triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP wide camera, 48MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto lens with Super Rez Zoom up to 30X. For selfies and video calls, both devices feature a 10.5MP front camera.
