India have been reportedly pooled alongside Pakistan, hosts USA, Ireland and Canada in Group A for their opening round fixtures of the 2024 T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in June.
The T20 showpiece will be held from June 4 to June 30 and is being co-hosted by the USA and West Indies. England, the defending champions, are in Group B along with Australia, Namibia, Scotland and Oman.

As per a report in The Telegraph, all Group A matches will be held in USA with India vs Pakistan to be played at the Eisenhower Park in New York.
India will be opening their campaign against Ireland while according to a report in India Today, the inaugural champions will lock horns with Pakistan on June 9.
The last time India and Pakistan clashed in a T20 World Cup was at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in 2022 when the two teams produced a thriller and a Virat Kohli masterclass guided the Rohit Sharma-led side to a win for the ages.
T20 World Cup 2024 Format
As per The Telegraph, the format for the T20 World Cup, which will be released officially soon, include two rounds followed by semi-final and the final.
The 20 participants have been divided into four groups of five each.
The top-two teams from each group will then progress to a second stage called Super 8 comprising eight teams to be divided in two pools of four each.
The draw for the Super 8 will be announced beforehand with the teams being assigned groups as per their pre-tournament seedings.
If a team outside of the top-eight seedings ends up qualifying for the second round, it will be assigned the Super 8 seeding of the team that they eliminated.

As per the report, defending champions England have been pooled alongside Australia while two-time winners and co-host West Indies are alongside New Zealand.
Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, USA
Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman
Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea
Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
