India have given debut to yet another spinner in the ongoing three-match ODI series against world champion Australia.
Mannat Kashyap, a 20-year-old left-arm spinner, made her international debut on Tuesday at the Wankhede Stadium. She received her maiden India cap from Sneh Rana who she replaced in the playing XI for the third and final ODI of the series.
Rana was ruled out of the match after suffering a collision with a teammate Pooja Vastrakar during the 2nd ODI. She was taken to hospital after complaining of a headache with Harleen Deol coming on as her concussion substitute.

Mannat had a memorable 2023 during which she won the U-19 T20 World Cup with the Indian team during which she finished with nine wickets from six matches including a four-wicket haul in her first match of the competition.
She finished the inaugural tournament as the second highest wicket-taker from India after Parshavi Chopra.
Following her impressive performance at the junior world cup, she was bought by Gujarat Giants franchise at the Women’s Premier League auction last year.
Later in the year, she played a vital role in helping India A beat Bangladesh A in the final of the ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Cup. She took 3/20 as her team successfully defended 127.
Punishing the Non-striker
Mannat though came into the limelight much before her U19 World Cup exploits. During the first T20 of an U19 series against hosts South Africa, Mannat ran out Jenna Evans in the 17th over for backing up too far.
However, the Indian team withdrew their appeal for run out as they went on to win by a comfortable margin of 54 runs.
Mannat got her maiden India call-up for the three-match T20I series against England at home alongside fellow spinners Shreyanka Patil and Saika Ishaque.
