Australia are all set to bid for their record-extending 6th title in the upcoming ODI World Cup which will be played in India starting October-November. After winning the World Test Championship Final, Australia will surely look to add more silverware to their trophy cabinet this year and what’s bigger than the ODI World Cup? The Aussies have a winning pedigree in them when it comes to the ICC tournaments and they will be playing a three-match ODI series in India before the WC to get used to the conditions here which are completely contrasting from down under.
Meanwhile, Australia will enter the World Cup with a special Indian connection. The five-time World Champions will be donning the jersey with a well-renowned Indian IT brand.

According to sources, Indian IT major HCLTech is likely to feature on the Australian cricket team’s jersey at the upcoming mega ICC event. The unveiling of the jersey is expected to take place next few days. This is yet another instance of homegrown Indian brands going for global sports marketing deals and cricket continues to be the most popular discipline.
Interestingly, this development follows recent media reports of HCLTech extending its partnership with Cricket Australia. When contacted HCLTech did not respond to the query.
Meanwhile, the photo of the jersey has also been leaked as Australia will don the yellow colours once again with HCLTech printed on the sleeves.
The Australia team has already arrived in India as they will play a three-match ODI series which will be a tune-up for them ahead of the ODI World Cup. They will start their World Cup campaign against India on October 30 in Chennai.
However, ahead of the tournament, they have some concerns in their squad especially regarding Travis Head who sustained a fracture on his left hand. The southpaw is expected to miss the first half of the tournament and Australia have to find an ideal replacement for him as they are expected to make changes in their final squad.
