UPSC CSE IAS 2021 Application Window Closing Soon: Here's How to Apply
UPSC CSE 2021: Apply at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. The application process will close on March 24.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be closing the application process for Civil Service Examination (CSE) 2021 by tomorrow, March 24. Aspirants who have not applied yet can complete their registration within the stipulated time at the official website, upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.

There are two parts of registration and the applicants will have to complete both for successfully submitting the application. Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. The number of vacancies to be filled through the examination is expected to be approximately 712 which include 22 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category, as per the notification.

UPSC CSE 2021: How to apply

Applicants must keep the scanned copy of a photo id card, passport size photo, and signature handy.

Step 1. Go to the homepage of UPSC online application portal upsconline.nic.in.

Step 2. Click on the link for ‘Online Application for Various UPSC Examinations’.

Step 3. On the next age click on the link for part 1 registration.

Step 4. Read the instructions carefully and proceed to registration.

Step 5. Key in the required details and go to the next page.

Step 6. Make a payment of processing fee and download the confirmation page.

Step 7. A user id will be sent to your mobile number and mail id provided in the application form.

Step 8. Proceed for part 2 registration by using the registration details and complete the rest.

Step 9. Download a copy of the UPSC CSE 2021 application form for further reference.

The first phase of civil services exam,  UPSC CSE prelims will have two papers each of 200 marks. Both the papers will have objective-type questions. Those scoring a minimum of 33 per cent marks in the prelims will be allowed to take the UPSC CSE Mains.

Mains will be a descriptive paper of 1750 marks based on the subjects selected by candidates during registration. Those qualifying mains exam will be further called for interview/ personality test. The UPSC CSE interview is comprised of 275 marks.
