Advani cancels yatra stopover at Bangalore

New Delhi: Facing embarrassment over the arrest of former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa in corruption cases, senior BJP leader LK Advani on Saturday cancelled his rath yatra stop over in Bangalore.

Advani though will be touring to other cities of Karnataka like Mangalore and Udupi. No official reasons have been given for the cancellation of the yatra.

However, its clear that the recent developments in the Yeddyurappa going to jail on corruption charges and several other ministers in the Karnataka being accused of corruption has caused much embarrassment to the party.

Advani was to be in Bangalore on the 30th of October.
