Ahmedabad: Anti-Modi posters were put up in Udhna and Pandesara areas of Surat city on Thursday night. These areas have a sizable migrant population from north Indian states like UP and Bihar. Surat has a north Indian migrant labour force of around 8 lakh people.
The posters have been put up by a man called Anup Rajput. Rajput is a Congressman. His uncle Dhansukh Rajput was given a Lok Sabha ticket by the Congress in the 2009 general election. The posters show Narenda Modi and MNS chief Raj Thackeray in conversation. These lines are written on the posters.
"Jaage UP, Jaage Bihar.. kare Matadaan toh Jeete Hindustan." (UP, Bihar rise, when they vote, India wins)
"UP, Bihar ke logon ko chun chun ke maara tha Maharashtra mein, ab aaya hain mauka, aapke chunaav ka, hamare chunaav ka." (They killed the people of UP, Bihar in Maharashtra, now is the chance, it's your election, our election.)
"Dushman ka dushman dost hota hain.. toh dushman ka dost dushman kyun nahi?" (An enemy's enemy is a friend, then why should an enemy's friend not be an enemy?)
