BJP holds National Exec with eye on Lok Sabha polls
Party will be brainstorming on strategy for Lok Sabha & Assembly polls.

New Delhi: In the shadow of the violent Gurjar stir in party-ruled Rajasthan, BJP's National Executive will meet on Sunday to brainstorm on the party's strategy for the coming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls while seeking to project itself as the front runner.

Having donned the election war paint, the party will come down heavily on the UPA government on a host of issues besides deliberating on the nitty-gritty of poll management, including selection of candidates for the Lok Sabha polls at the two-day conclave.

Even as it was rejoicing over its southern foray in Karnataka, the continuing Gurjar agitation in poll-bound Rajasthan has come as a dampener, which even forced the party to shift the National Executive from Jaipur to Delhi at the last moment.

It is not clear whether Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will attend the national executive.

Claiming itself to be the front runner for the next Lok Sabha polls, the meet will identify the issues to be raised in the coming days to target the UPA government besides formulating the winning mantra.

The main Opposition party has already been attacking the government on issues ranging from price rise, spurt in terror attacks, agricultural crisis, farmer suicides, corruption and mismanagement of food security and economy.

The party will also unveil plans for a nationwide stir against the Manmohan Singh in a bid to push the Congress onto the backfoot at a time when it is gearing up for elections in BJP-ruled Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and in Delhi.
