BS Yeddyurappa says he wil quit BJP in December
The former Karnataka chief minister had earlier indicated he might launch his own party by year-end.

Bangalore: Former Karnataka chief minister and BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa on Wednesday said that he'll quit the party in December 2012. Determined to break away from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Yeddyurappa said that the time has come for him to either form a new political party or join another. "No one can change my mind now," said Yeddyurappa.

Accusing the party leadership of deceiving him, the former Karnataka chief minister had earlier indicated he might launch his own party by year-end. "I am touring the state for the last two months. I will launching the third phase (of tour) from next month. I want to take the opinion of people and workers. After December, I will take my own decision," he had said.

Yeddyurappa, who quit the chief ministership in July 2011 over mining bribery charges, has been slamming both national and state BJP leaders for not reinstating him as chief minister or appointing him as Karnataka BJP chief.
