The Chief Minister asked the voters to exercise their franchise fearlessly.
Hardoi/Pratapgarh: Alleging the Centre was creating hindrances in development of Uttar Pradesh, BSP chief and Chief Minister Mayawati on Wednesday said the economic package sought by the state was not given to it.
"The Congress did not want to see development of the state. That is why it did not accept the proposal for division of the state into three parts," she said.
Addressing a string of election meetings, the BSP supremo asserted anyone trying to disrupt the free and fair poll in the state would be dealt with sternly.
"I will not allow goonda and other elements to create problems during the election. I will get them hanged upside down."
