Bundi: A Rajasthan Congress legislator on Saturday claimed that the Congress party, headed by a woman, has low representation of women at the Centre and in the state. "The representation of woman in Congress is not enough and is very low at the Centre as well as in Rajasthan," CL Premi, MLA and district Congress president, said.
"It should be raised if the party really aims at victory," he said. "Congress should allot 25 per cent representation to women," Premi, MLA from Keshoraipatan area of Bundi, said after the Republic Day function in Bundi.
Expressing concern over the gap between ruling leaders and ground level workers of the party, he said there should be a tuning between party leaders and workers so that party worker do not feel "down and disappointed".
The Congress leader also said Rahul Gandhi's recent decision of "one seat one post" at the Jaipur conclave should be followed strictly. He said he would resign from the post of district Congress president in April as he is an MLA too.
