New Delhi: The Delhi High Court will on Monday deliver its order on former Samajwadi Party MP Amar Singh's bail plea in the cash-for-votes scam.
Senior Samajwadi Party leader Reoti Raman Singh has also moved the Delhi High Court after the trial court summoned him, brushing aside the Delhi Police's clean chit in connection with the scam.
The Delhi High Court had on Wednesday reserved its order on Amar Singh's bail plea.
Amar Singh's lawyer argued that his medical condition required constant monitoring and may be a visit to his doctor in Singapore where the MP had undergone renal transplant.
He has been suffering from UTI, increase serum creatinine, vitamin B12 deficiency and increased TSH. His medical report by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) had said that he had developed severe abdominal pain and was prone to infection as he had undergone renal transplant.
The Additional Solicitor General said that the AIIMS medical report cannot be disputed. He added that the investigations into the cash-for-votes case were complete and a chargesheet had been filed.
