Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, who recently grabbed headlines for attacking Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, on Monday fired a fresh salvo targeting party MP Shatrughan Sinha.
Disapproving of Sinha’s recent remarks criticising the functioning of the BJP and its strategy in Bihar Assembly elections, Vijayvargiya said, "Shatrughan Sinha's identity is because of BJP. The party is not identified because of Shatrughan Sinha."
He went on to say, "Dog runs after car and he thinks that the car is moving because of him...party doesn't run with a single person's efforts."
Cautioning his party colleague Sinha to "take care of his discipline", Vijayvargiya said that the it is the duty of the members to give something to the party.
This came after Sinha met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna.
Showering praise on Nitish Kumar after meeting him, Sinha had said, "Nitish Kumar is the tallest leader in Bihar." The BJP leader added that Nitish would be "a strong Chief Minister".
Talking about the reports of the BJP leadership being unhappy with him, Sinha said that he cannot stop the BJP if the party wants to take action against him. He further claimed, "I did not act against the party in any way."
The BJP leader later met Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, whose party has emerged as the single largest party in the Bihar polls.
Earlier, reports said that Sinha's meeting with Nitish Kumar did not go down well with the party, and the party was also unhappy with the BJP MP's continuous statements against the party. The BJP parliamentary board meeting was also expected to discuss the issue of statements given by Sinha and former Home Secretary and BJP leader RK Singh.
