The Trinamool Congress on Friday announced the list of candidates for the West Bengal Assembly elections, which are scheduled to be held in six phases between April 4 and May 5. The results will be declared on May 19.
The Trinamool Congress has decided to go alone in the elections and has declared the list of candidates, which include sports personalities, actor and journalist.
Soon after Election Commission announced the six-phase poll schedule, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in a press conference made public TMC candidates ahead of BJP, Congress and the Left which were yet to stitch the much-talked about alliance for the election to defeat TMC.
