Gandhinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is scheduled to deliver an address to the heads of banking and insurance companies in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. This meeting is a part of the national summit on Financial Services organised by the Gujarat government.
Modi, who is on a campaign trail ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, raked up the Telangana issue during his visit to Karnataka on Tuesday. Addressing a rally in Davangere, Modi accused Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party Vice President Rahul Gandhi of ignoring Seemandhra.
"Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have time to visit Karnataka and Kerala but they don't have time to visit Seemandhra and Telangana and see the people's problems," Modi said.
He said that the people of Andhra Pradesh need attention which the Congress is not giving them. "The sentiments of the people of Seemandhara, the small demands of the people should be looked at. The Congress should reply to them. The people of Andhra need consoling, support and care, but Soniaji and Rahulji don't have words to spare for them," Modi added.
