Ishrat case: Hearing on naming Amit Shah as accused adjourned till April 21
Amit Shah, a close aide of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, was MoS Home when the encounter happened.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told a court on Wednesday that it needed 25 days time to reply to a plea filed by the father of one of the victims in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case.

Gopinath Pillai, father of Javed alias Pranesh Pillai, had filed an application seeking the addition of Amit Shah and KR Kaushik as accused in the case.

Amit Shah, a close aide of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, was MoS Home and Kaushik was CP Ahmedabad when the encounter happened.

The matter will now be heard on April 21.
