The highest number of 45 candidates filed papers in Aurangabad, while the lowest number of 14 nominations were received in Nandurbar.

Mumbai: As many as 495 candidates have filed nominations for 19 constituencies in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, which goes to poll in the third phase on April 24.

The highest number of 45 candidates filed papers in Aurangabad, while the lowest number of 14 nominations were received in Nandurbar.

The 19 constituencies include those in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, North Maharashtra, Aurangabad and Jalna in Marathwada region.

Prominent among those in the fray are NCP strongman and state PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal in Nashik, Union Minister of State for Telecom Milind Deora from Mumbai South, noted social activist Medha Patkar on AAP ticket from Mumbai North East.

Today was the last day of filing of nominations for the third phase of polls.
