NDA to Prime Minister: Sack Lalu over land deals

New Delhi: NDA leaders are meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday asking him to sack Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on allegations that he had gifted Railway jobs in return for land deals.

Last week, special investigative reports on CNN-IBN's sister channel, IBN-7, showed that Lalu's relatives had taken plots of land from those who aspired for jobs in the Railways.

There were also allegations that Lalu's sons had taken gifts of land from RJD MPs Kanti Singh and Raghunath Jha.

The two MPs have allegedly gifted land worth almost Rs 9 lakh to Lalu's sons.
