Nitish said his government has already incorporated a number of demands made in the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Patna: Nitish Kumar on Sunday said he was personally in favour of including the Prime Minister in the ambit of the proposed Lokpal Bill and that he would bring the chief minister under the Lokayukta that will be in place in the state soon.

"It is possible that the Lokpal may not root out corruption, but at the same time it will create a fear among people against taking gratification," he said at a function.

Detractors of the Lokpal Bill should see "the writing on the wall" in the context of the massive public support to Anna Hazare-led civil society movement, he said.

The people of the country will not tolerate corruption in public life any more and their view should be heeded by enacting a strong Lokpal Bill at the earliest.

Kumar said his government has already incorporated a number of demands made in the Jan Lokpal Bill like the citizens charter and said implementation of the Right to Service Act 2011 in Bihar has streamlined the delivery system under which people can get services from public authorities within a time frame.

The state government now proposes to launch an electronic delivery system in which people can submit applications for various services online and receive them through the same, he added.
