In a big relief to Congress leader Jagdish Tytler, the Central Bureau of Investigation has told a Delhi court that no case has been filed against him for influencing witnesses in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.
The CBI has said that no case has been filed against him for money laundering and witnesses tampering. Next hearing in the case against Tytler is on July 30.
Senior lawyer and petitioner in the 1984 riots case HS Phoolka has said that he is willing to file a protest petition against the CBI proceedings. The court has allowed him to file a fresh protest petition on the two cases of money laundering and witnesses tampering. The next hearing in the case is on July 30.
"We will submit this application in court. The CBI informed the court that they have not registered any separate case. The court had asked the CBI about the action taken. We will file the application in the court based on two offences. We will also file the petition challenging it in the main case," HS Phoolka said.
