Post-poll clashes break out in Howrah, 18 TMC workers detained
The CPM and TMC supporters are also reported to have clashed in Sankraail area of Howrah where they allegedly also hurled crude bombs at each other.

Howrah: As many as 18 workers of the Trinamool Congress have been detained in Howrah for ransacking houses of voters who cast their ballots in favour of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

The post-poll clashes broke out in Dasnagar area of Howrah. After the incident, police forces in heavy number were deployed in the area.

The CPM and TMC supporters are also reported to have clashed in Sankraail area of Howrah where they allegedly also hurled crude bombs at each other.

Eight Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal went to polls on Wednesday. Over 80 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the state.
