Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday.

Thackeray said that the meeting was to discuss killing of three Dalits in Ahmednagar.

On October 21, a day after the killings, bodies of three members, one of them decapitated, were found dumped in a dry well in Javkheda village of Ahmednagar's Pathardi taluka.

"The Chief Minister told me that investigations are on and all possibilities are being explored," said Raj, who visited the village and met the victims' family on Saturday.

Notably, Fadnavis had also asked Maharashtra DGP to probe the triple murder.

Raj said caste violence had not happened in Ahmednagar district for the first time, and this was the third such incident in the recent past.

He, however, refused to clarify if lone MNS MLA Sharad Sonawale in the Assembly will back the BJP government or not. Fadanavis has to prove majority on the floor of the House by November 12.

The BJP won 121 seats in the October 15 elections and claims support of seven independents and smaller parties and is confident of proving the majority in the House.

The BJP's 25-year-old ally Shiv Sena with 63 seats has not yet made up its mind whether to join the government or sit in the opposition, though talks were underway between the two parties.

The Nationalist Congress Party, which extended 'unconditional external support', has already announced it will abstain from voting.
