Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray had expressed willingness to join hands with his cousin Raj Thackeray.
Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Tuesday rules out any alliance with Shiv Sena. This comes after Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray had expressed willingness to join hands with his cousin Raj Thackeray.
The Shiv Sena president, in an interview to party mouthpiece Saamna, had hinted at the possibility of a reconciliation with Raj. In the interview, Uddhav did not dismiss the possibility of coming together to avoid the splitting of the Marathi vote.
Raj Thackeray had split from the party in 2006 to form the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). The split came after Uddhav was asked to lead the party following the late Bal Thackeray's retirement from active politics.
