Raj's tactics worse than communal divide: Amar Singh
Amar Singh called the attacks on N Indians in Mumbai a dangerous trend.

Bhopal: Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh on Tuesday termed as a "dangerous trend", the recent attacks on north Indians in Mumbai by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers.

Talking to reporters, he said that what was happening in Mumbai and parts of Maharashtra at the instance of the Raj Thackeray-led MNS was even more dangerous than a communal divide.

Thackeray was arrested on Tuesday in Mumbai for inciting the attacks.

Amar Singh, who was in Bhopal to attend the launch of his party's election campaign, said besides dealing with the MNS strictly, steps should also be taken to ban Hindu outfit Bajrang Dal.

He also reiterated that there would be no alliance with the Congress in Madhya Pradesh as the state leadership (of the Congress) has poached on his party legislators at a time "when we saved their Government at the Centre on the issue of nuclear deal".

He said his party would contest maximum seats in Madhya Pradesh in the upcoming state assembly elections and may go in for an alliance with other like-minded small parties instead of the Congress.
