New Delhi: Holding a press conference in Himachal Pradesh, despite an Election Commission ban on his campaigns in the state, yoga expert Baba Ramdev on Monday accused the Congress of misusing the poll body.
"The EC is under the Congress's control. The Congress is not allowing the EC to work properly. The Congress is pressuring the EC to ban my yoga sessions. The Congress is going through acute depression," he said.
Ramdev, who recently made disparaging remarks against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he visited Dalits' homes for "picnics and honeymoon", today clarified that his comment was misinterpreted.
"I used the word 'honeymoon' in a political context and they have changed the context. The Congress has used the Dalits. I say that Sonia Gandhi has insulted the Dalits," he said.
"The Nehru family, the mother-son duo is responsible for the problems in the country. They have used their power to make (Robert) Vadra rich. They have used the poor to make money," he said.
