As a part of the preparations for Lok Sabha elections, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has reshuffled party leadership in several states.
Gandhi has approved the appointment of new Congress party chiefs in three states, namely Haryana, Kerala and West Bengal.
VM Sudheeran has been appointed as the new Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee. Sudheeran replaces senior party leader and Kerala Minister Ramesh Chennithala.
VD Satheeshan, another senior party leader has been anointed as the KPCC Vice President.

In a bid to improve party's prospects in West Bengal, Sonia Gandhi has approved the appointment of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury as the Congress's state unit chief.
Chowdhury who is also the MoS for Railways was preceded by Professor Pradip Bhattacharya in West Bengal.
