4. Suratgarh is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Ganganagar (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Suratgarh falls in Ganganagar district and North region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,27,352 voters in the seat, which includes 1,20,671 male voters, and 1,06,681 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Suratgarh recorded a voter turnout of 82.95%. In 2013 the turnout was 84.83%, and in 2008 it was 76.7%.
In 2013, Rajendar Singh Bhadu of BJP won the seat by a margin of 26,779 votes (15.88%). Rajendar Singh Bhadu secured 39.59% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 9,809 votes (7.14%), registering 31.72% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in the Suratgarh Assembly segment of the Ganganagar (SC) Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
