Hyderabad: Stepping up the attack on the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam on Sunday said that it lacked coherence and a purpose.
Showing clippings of newspaper reports, senior party leader K Yerran Naidu said in Hyderabad that it was strange that the ministers were finding fault with the government schemes.
"A minister says he felt ashamed as government hospitals lack adequate facilities. Another minister openly criticised the chief minister. Then there is a media report that the applications submitted by people were dumped after the chief minister left an official programme," he said.
Naidu wondered whether collective responsibility existed in the state cabinet. Alleging that all sections of people, including farmers, were facing problems, he said the state government was a complete failure on all fronts.
TDP, the main opposition party, has already announced a plan to move a no-confidence motion in the winter session of the state assembly.
Party whip D Narendra said the no-trust vote would make it clear who stood where vis a vis the opposition to Congress government.
Kadapa MP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, had earlier asked TDP to move a no-confidence motion against the government. But in a recent development, several Congress MLAs who were loyal to him have reportedly decided to return to the parent party.
